 Today’s Stock Recommendation
Technical Overview: Stock recommendation for 29/12/2015 is ICICI Bank ltd. In today’s trading session it was up by 2.35%. Its long term trend is up. It has made a long green candle indicating further buying in daily chart. Its short term support level is 255. All the indicators are suggesting that one can go for long position in this stock above 264 levels. The stock may test level of 270-280 in coming days.

The S&P BSE Sensex started on a flat note with a positive bias on Tuesday, led by gains in HDFC, RIL, NTPC, Tata Motors, L&T, and Lupin.The Nifty50 started on a flat note, but the index was trading above its crucial support level of 7,900, supported by gains in realty, power, oil & gas, and auto stocks.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.33 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.28 per cent higher.
The 30-share BSE Sense up 195 points at 26034. The market breadth was strong as about 1524 shares advanced against 1175 declining shares on the BSE.
Mutual fund houses continued to be bullish on the equity markets in 2015 and purchased shares worth a staggering over Rs 70,000 crore, primarily on account of strong participation from retail investors.
Shares of Tata Power gained 3.2 percent intraday Monday on signing memorandum of understanding with Russian government for investment in energy sector.
GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW
Asian stocks were steady in quiet trade on Monday, drawing heart after a rebound in crude oil that took prices away from multi-year lows.
Japan's Nikkei was also up 0.1 percent. The Nikkei, lifted in part by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's reflationary policies, was headed for its fourth straight year of gains.
US crude gained last week thanks to falling inventories, reduced drilling and the lifting of a ban on most U.S. crude exports.

Today’s Stock Recommendation



Sensex slips over 100 points from day’s high, Nifty below 7,770

The BSE Sensex slipped over 100 points from day’s high. Sensex was up 64.37 points at 25,558.74. The index had touched a high and low of 25,659.32 and 25,551.79, respectively, in trade so far. 
On the US Fed rate hike, Nikhil Kamath, director, trading & risk, Zerodha said, “With the increase in rates, the Fed has finally aligned its intent and action. I think they have made it amply clear that further rate hikes would be ‘gradual’ and well spaced, which probably means to say we may get to see another marginal uptick in rates toward the end of 2016. The markets have already factored in yesterday’s hike, and I suppose the participants would be happy that the event is through. We may even witness a rally in the market. The focus in now back on domestic macro factors.” 
The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.77 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.95 per cent higher.

Technical Overview: Stock recommendation for 17/12/2015 is HDFC ltd. In today’s trading session it was up by 1.03%. Its long term trend is up. It has made a small green candle indicating further buying in daily chart. Its short term support level is 1165. All the indicators are suggesting that one can go for long position in this stock above 1220 levels. The stock may test level of 1250-1300 in coming days.
An intraday trading guide for the day 
Currently Nifty is going through a final leg of bearish shark pattern, which suggests a pullback towards 7850-7900 i.e. potential reversal zone for the pattern.
The same coincides with the downward sloping trendline on the larger timeframe.

Only a weekly close above 7765 would suggest index has made a short-term bottom at Monday's low of 7551.
 
Indian Rupee UpdateThe Indian rupee has opened at 1 week high on Thursday due to weakness in dollar after Federal Reserve hiked interest rates by 25 basis points (the first rate hike in last seven years). The currency rose 11 paise to 66.62 a dollar compared to 66.73 per dollar in previous session.
GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW  
Asian stocks gained early on Wednesday, with sentiment lifting as Wall Street rose before a likely hike in US interest rates, while the dollar held to large gains made as Treasury yields picked up.
The The Dow Jones industrial average rose 156 points to 17525, the S&P 500 gained 21 points to 2043 and the Nasdaq Composite added 43 points to 4995.
The dollar was steady at 121.67 yen, pulling further away from a six-week trough of 120.35 struck Monday. The euro traded near USD 1.0900 after recoiling from a seven-week peak of USD 1.1060.

Live: Sensex falls 45 points; logistics stocks fall as GST hopes fade

The Sensex falls 45.46 points, or 0.18%, to 25,264.87, while the Nifty is down 15.65 points, or 0.2%, to 7,686.05
Indian benchmark stock indices drop further flat after sliding to three-month lows on Tuesday. The 30-share S&P BSE Sensex falls 45.46 points, or 0.18%, to 25,264.87, while the Nifty is down 15.65 points, or 0.2%, to 7,686.05.
Logistics stocks drop as goods and services tax (GST) seems to have hit another roadblock after Congress offensive casts shadow on reforms push. Gati Ltd drops 5.8%, Blue Dart 1% and VRL Logistics 3.5%.
Indian Rupee Update


The Indian rupee opens unchanged at 66.84 per US dollar as most traders stayed cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s rate-setting meet due next week.
The yield on India’s 10-year benchmark bond is trading at 7.799% compared with its Tuesday’s close of 7.801%. It opened at 7.795% and touched a high of 7.802%—a level last seen on 30 November.
The US dollar is trading at 122.88 yen, down from 122.99 yen in the previous session. The euro rises to $1.0899 from $1.0888.
Shares of Tata Motors gained nearly 2 percent intraday Tuesday on strong retail sales in November by its UK subsidiary and luxury car maker.
Rating agency ICRA has downgraded the rating on the proposed Rs 750-crore non-convertible debenture programme of Eros International Media Ltd citing concerns of parent company’s reduced financial flexibility and also revised outlook to negative from positive. ICRA said it has revised the the rating on Eros’ NCD programme to A+ from AA- .
Most large caps trading cheap, not all are bargains 
Analysts rank HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and consumer goods company Dabur India as promising picks among BSE 100 stocks. Others on their radar are LIC HousingBSE 0.43 % Finance, Hero MotoCorpBSE -1.02 %, Tata Consultancy Services and UltraTech Cement. It may not be apparent from the lacklustre performance of benchmark indices, which have lost nearly 10% from the year ago, nor would it be obvious from economic growth of 7.4% in the September quarter.But two out of every three comp ..
