The Sensex fell 130 points to 24420 and the Nifty declined 33 points to 7426. Hindalco (-4 percent), Vedanta (-3 percent), Sun Pharma (-2 percent) and Asian Paints (-2 percent) were the big losers in the Nifty. 
Other laggards in the index were Adani Ports (-1 percent),GAIL (-1 percent),Bharti Airtel (-1 percent) and Zee Entertain (-1 percent). Gainers included ITC (2 percent), Bank of Baroda (1 percent), BPCL (1 percent) and BHEL (1 percent).

Today Share Market Overview

Sensex closes 178 points up on bullish growth projections in Economic Survey 2016
Benchmark indices the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty snapped a three-day losing streak on Friday on account of buying in frontline blue chip counters, taking cues from Asian counterparts.
Benchmark indices the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty snapped a three-day losing streak on Friday on account of buying in frontline blue chip counters, taking cues from Asian counterparts. Sentiments also got a boost after the Economic Survey said the government will likely meet its FY16 fiscal deficit target of 3.9 per cent, while at the same time it also indicated that India’s long run potential GDP growth is substantial, about 8 to 10 per cent.
Sensex closed 178.30 points up at 23,154.30, while Nifty settled 59.15 points up at 7,029.75.

Indian Rupee Update
The rupee recovered 7 paise to 68.65 against the US dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on selling of the US currency by exporters and banks amid a higher opening in the domestic equity market. Sensex was trading 136 points up at 23,112. Nifty was up 47.90 points at 7,019.20.

Nifty Technical Overview:
Nifty futures opened with flat note and witnessed bearish movement and sustained below 7050 for the entire day. It closed below 7000. Tomorrow if nifty future manages to sustain below the level of 7030 and break major support of 6950 then down side movement is expected.

Live Share Market Closing Update

Metal stocks drag Sensex to end 286 points down, Nifty settles at 7,455; RBI maintains status quo
Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty tumbled over 1 per cent on Tuesday on account of selling in metal, oil and gas, healthcare and power stocks amid global market sell-off.
Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty tumbled over 1 per cent on Tuesday on account of selling in metal, oil and gas, healthcare and power stocks amid global market sell-off. The sentiments were also affected after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) kept its key policy rates unchanged, opting to wait for the government’s annual budget statement at the end of February for  further easing.
The 30-share index BSE Sensex closed 285.83 points down at 24539, while the 50-share index NSE Nifty settled 100.40 points down at 7,455.55.
In the 30-share index, Tata Steel, NTPC, BHEL, Cipla and Sun Pharma slid between 3.50 per cent and 8 per cent.

Bank Nifty futures opened with flat note and closed with same after witnessing down side movement for the entire day and sustained below 15550 for the entire day and closed below support level of 15400. Tomorrow if it continues to sustain below it then further downside movement can be seen.

Indian Rupee Update
The Indian rupee opened flat at 67.85 per dollar against previous close of 67.84. The dollar extended its rebound against the yen to a fifth straight day after Wall Street reversed nearly all its earlier losses allowing USD/JPY to hold onto 121 and close with a slim gain.
GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW
Asian shares started a new month on somewhat firmer footing on Monday, helped by accommodative monetary policies in Japan and Europe, but traders were cautious ahead of China factory and service sector activity surveys.
The BOJ said it would charge for a portion of bank reserves parked with the institution, an aggressive policy pioneered by the European Central Bank (ECB). Earlier in January, the ECB indicated it could cut rates further in March.
Wall Street surged over 2 percent on Friday after the Bank of Japan unexpectedly cut interest rates and Microsoft led a major rally in technology shares, repairing some of the damage to the S&P 500's worst January since 2009.
Dow Jones industrial average ended 2.47 percent higher at 16466 while the S&P 500 gained 46.88 points or 2.48 percent higher to end at 1940.

Sensex ends 46 points down @ Live Market Update

Sensex ends 46 points down ahead of RBI monetary policy review, Nifty settles at 7,556; Banking stocks fall
Sensex closed 45.86 points down at 24,824.83 on Monday, while Nifty settled 7.60 points down at 7,555.95.
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty closed in red on Monday ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) monetary policy review scheduled for Tuesday. The sentiments remained under pressure after Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services stated that India will face challenges in sticking to the fiscal consolidation roadmap as the expected revenues may not be fully realised and subsidy cuts may be delayed.
Sensex closed 45.86 points down at 24,824.83, while Nifty settled 7.60 points down at 7,555.95.

INDIAN MARKET OVERVIEW
After a disastrous January, Dalal Street has begun the new February futures and options (F&O) series on a positive note. Nifty future up 119 points at 7568.
The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 401 points at 24870. The market breadth was strong as about 1556 shares advanced against 1035 declining shares on the BSE.
Engineering and infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro's third quarter profit increased by 19.4 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,034.8 crore, aided by other income and lower finance cost.
State-run power generation company NTPC's third quarter profit plunged 18.9 percent year-on-year to Rs 2,493 crore due to lower revenue & other income and higher finance cost despite margin surge.

Sensex closed 6.44 points up at 24,492, while Nifty settled 9.10 points down at 7,427.05.
Havells India shares recovered nearly 4 per cent post Q3 result. The scrip was trading 0.40 per cent down at Rs 300.65.

Bank Nifty futures opened with positive note and witnessed bearish movement for the entire day and closed on positive note around 200 days EMA. On Wednesday nifty future can trade downside if it sustain below the level of 7450 then below the level of 7410 it can test the 7380-7350.

INDIAN MARKET OVERVIEW

After a good rally in equity benchmark, the market ended on flat note. Nifty future up 19 points at 7434.

The 30-share BSE Sensex up 50 points at 24485. The market breadth was very strong as about 1730 shares advanced against 924 declining shares on the BSE.

HDFC Bank's third quarter net profit increased 20 percent to Rs 3,357 crore from Rs 2,794.5 crore and net interest income climbed 24 percent to Rs 7,068.51 crore from Rs 5,700 crore in year-ago period.

Around 35 percent saw external shocks as the greatest challenge facing India’s economy, up from just 10 percent in the previous poll in May 2015. However, this is more likely a reflection of the broad-based spike in global risk aversion rather than India’s relative vulnerabilities, said the Moody's release
