Live Market Closing Update

LIVE: Sensex down over 100 points, Nifty below 7,450; Metal, Oil & Gas shares up
Extending gains for the fifth consecutive session, the benchmark Sensex advanced over 100 points and the NSE Nifty reclaimed 7,500-mark in early trade on Tuesday as investors widened bets amid increased foreign fund inflows.

Nifty & Bank Nifty Technical Overview

Nifty Technical Overview:
Nifty futures opened with positive note and showed consolidated movement with bullish sentiments for the entire day. It opened above the level of 7400 and sustained above it throughout the day. On coming session if it sustains above the level of 7400 and break 7480 then upside movement is expected.
Bank Nifty Technical Overview:
Bank Nifty futures opened with positive note and consolidated movement for most part of the day and slight bullish rally in later part. It sustained above 15000 levels and broke 15200 levels upside. If Bank nifty sustain above the level of 15200 and break 15450 then upside movement is expected.

INDIAN MARKET OVERVIEW
Bulls just managed to win the fight with bears on Friday as equity benchmarks closed marginally higher amid consolidation, continuing upside for fourth consecutive session. Nifty future up 10 points at 7469.
The 30-share BSE Sensex up by 39 points at 24646. The market breadth was strong as about 1509 shares advanced against 1109 declining shares on the BSE.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today raised prices of its vehicles by up to Rs 82,906 across models on account of new levies announced in the Union Budget.
he Supreme Court today refused to offer any interim relief to telecom companies in their plea against the call drop penalty that has been imposed on them by regulator TRAI.

Sensex closed 39.49 points up @ Today Market Overview

Sensex rallies for 4th day in a row, ends 39 points up on global cues
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty surged for the fourth consecutive trading session on Friday on account of firm global markets.
 The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty surged for the fourth consecutive trading session on Friday on account of firm global markets. Sensex closed 39.49 points up at 24646.48, while Nifty 50 index settled 9.75 points up at 7,485.35.
In the 50-share index, Punjab National Bank, BHEL, Vedanta, State Bank of India and Coal India gained between 3.45 per cent and 5.52 per cent. On the other hand, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Idea Cellular, Asian Paints and Sun Pharma skid between 1.48 per cent and 2.83 per cent.
In a scrip specific development, HMT surged nearly 20 per cent intraday on reports that the government is eyeing revival of the company’s wholly owned subsidiary – HMT Machine Tools.

INDIAN MARKET OVERVIEW
Bumper rally continued for third consecutive session Thursday, taking the Nifty to one-month closing high on value buying post Union Budget. Nifty future up 88 points at 7449.
The 30-share BSE Sensex up by 364 points at 24606. The market breadth was strong as about 1717 shares advanced against 922 declining shares on the BSE.
Yes Bank acquired 5,00,750 equity shares of Institutional Investor Advisory Services (IiAS) from BSE Limited which is equivalent to 5.006 percent of the paid-up capital of the company.



GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW
Asian shares were trying to string together three sessions of gains on Thursday as upbeat data on US jobs and gains for a range of commodities whetted risk appetites globally.
Energy and bank stocks led Wall Street higher on Wednesday, adding to a rally in the previous session, after strong jobs data dispelled concerns over the health of the US economy.
The Dow Jones industrial average rose 34.24 points to 16899, the S&P 500 gained 8.1 points to 1986 and the Nasdaq Composite added 13.83 points to 4703.

A day after the Union Budget caused some turmoil on Dalal Street, the BSE benchmark Sensex on Tuesday posted its biggest single-day gain in nearly seven years amid hopes of a rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India.

The Sensex closed 152.30 points lower after Monday's highly volatile session, mainly hit by a proposal for a higher dividend distribution tax on those earning more and on a rise in securities transaction tax on options trading.
Growth-oriented budgetary proposals like higher spending in infrastructure, the allocation of nearly Rs 36,000 crores for the farm sector and a higher credit target aimed at doubling farmers' income in five years buoyed sentiment, brokers said.
The government's commitment to keep the deficit at 3.5 per cent of GDP in 2016-17, too lifted mood, they added.
The rupee strengthening by 47 paise to 67.95 against the American currency (intra-day) at the forex market did its bit to boost the market.

Nifty futures opened with positive note and witnessed strong bullish movement for the entire day. It broke 7150 level in morning and sustained above it for the entire day and closed above 7200. Tomorrow if it sustain above the 7150-7170 then upside movement is expected.

Investors give thumbs down to Union Budget 2016, Sensex ends 152 points down
Union Budget 2016 failed to cheer Dalal Street as benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty skid 0.50 per cent on Monday in a volatile trade.
Union Budget 2016 failed to cheer Dalal Street as benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty skid 0.50 per cent on Monday in a volatile trade. The 30-share index Sensex slipped 152.30 points at 23,002, while the 50-share index Nifty dipped 42.70 points at 6987.05.

Sensex was down 156 points at 22,997. Dairy companies stocks like Hatsun Agro Products, Kwality and Prabhat Dairy were trading firm after the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in its budget has proposed four new schemes to enhance dairy farming in India with allocation of Rs 850 crore in Union Budget 2016-17.

The 30-share BSE Sensex up by 178 points at 23154. The market breadth was weak as about 1005 shares advanced against 1481 declining shares on the BSE.



GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW
Asian shares rose on Friday following a firmer finish on Wall Street and as investors awaited a meeting of Group of 20 finance leaders that will likely offer words of reassurance, even if little in the way of actual policy stimulus.
Jpan's Nikkei rose 1.5 percent to break chart resistance and reach a two-week top.
The International Monetary Fund has called for a coordinated stimulus program to stop a global slowdown from turning into something worse.

Sensex closes 178 points up on bullish growth projections in Economic Survey 2016
Benchmark indices the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty snapped a three-day losing streak on Friday on account of buying in frontline blue chip counters, taking cues from Asian counterparts.
Benchmark indices the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty snapped a three-day losing streak on Friday on account of buying in frontline blue chip counters, taking cues from Asian counterparts. Sentiments also got a boost after the Economic Survey said the government will likely meet its FY16 fiscal deficit target of 3.9 per cent, while at the same time it also indicated that India’s long run potential GDP growth is substantial, about 8 to 10 per cent.
Sensex closed 178.30 points up at 23,154.30, while Nifty settled 59.15 points up at 7,029.75.

Indian Rupee Update
The rupee recovered 7 paise to 68.65 against the US dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on selling of the US currency by exporters and banks amid a higher opening in the domestic equity market. Sensex was trading 136 points up at 23,112. Nifty was up 47.90 points at 7,019.20.

Nifty futures opened with flat note and witnessed bearish movement and sustained below 7050 for the entire day. It closed below 7000. Tomorrow if nifty future manages to sustain below the level of 7030 and break major support of 6950 then down side movement is expected.

Sensex slid further and was trading 300.17 points down at 23,110.01. Nifty was down 73.40 points at 7,036. BPCL shares were trading 4 per cent up at Rs 766.05.

IDBI Bank has a three-tier fund raising plan which include sale of non-core assets, preferential allotment and qualified institutional placement (QIP), adding that the funds will be raised according to requirement.
