Live Share Market Closing Update

Metal stocks drag Sensex to end 286 points down, Nifty settles at 7,455; RBI maintains status quo
Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty tumbled over 1 per cent on Tuesday on account of selling in metal, oil and gas, healthcare and power stocks amid global market sell-off.
Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty tumbled over 1 per cent on Tuesday on account of selling in metal, oil and gas, healthcare and power stocks amid global market sell-off. The sentiments were also affected after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) kept its key policy rates unchanged, opting to wait for the government’s annual budget statement at the end of February for  further easing.
The 30-share index BSE Sensex closed 285.83 points down at 24539, while the 50-share index NSE Nifty settled 100.40 points down at 7,455.55.
In the 30-share index, Tata Steel, NTPC, BHEL, Cipla and Sun Pharma slid between 3.50 per cent and 8 per cent.

Bank Nifty Technical Overview @ Live Nifty Market Update



Market Update
Nifty opens above 7550 ahead of RBI policy; Sun Pharma up 1% ONGC, GAIL, HDFC, Bajaj Auto and ITC are major losers while Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, Dr Reddy's Labs and Maruti are gainers in early trade.
Bank Nifty Technical Overview:

Bank Nifty futures opened with flat note and closed with same after witnessing down side movement for the entire day and sustained below 15550 for the entire day and closed below support level of 15400. Tomorrow if it continues to sustain below it then further downside movement can be seen.

Indian Rupee Update
The Indian rupee opened flat at 67.85 per dollar against previous close of 67.84. The dollar extended its rebound against the yen to a fifth straight day after Wall Street reversed nearly all its earlier losses allowing USD/JPY to hold onto 121 and close with a slim gain.
GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW
Asian shares started a new month on somewhat firmer footing on Monday, helped by accommodative monetary policies in Japan and Europe, but traders were cautious ahead of China factory and service sector activity surveys.
The BOJ said it would charge for a portion of bank reserves parked with the institution, an aggressive policy pioneered by the European Central Bank (ECB). Earlier in January, the ECB indicated it could cut rates further in March.
Wall Street surged over 2 percent on Friday after the Bank of Japan unexpectedly cut interest rates and Microsoft led a major rally in technology shares, repairing some of the damage to the S&P 500's worst January since 2009.
Dow Jones industrial average ended 2.47 percent higher at 16466 while the S&P 500 gained 46.88 points or 2.48 percent higher to end at 1940.

Stock Market Closing Update


LIVE: Sensex, Nifty turn flat amid rangebound trade; Union Bank shares surge
Key benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty closed on a flat note after swinging between minor gains and losses on Wednesday as investors avoided risky bets ahead of US Federal Reserve policy statement due later in the day.

Sensex closed 6.44 points up at 24,492, while Nifty settled 9.10 points down at 7,427.05.
Havells India shares recovered nearly 4 per cent post Q3 result. The scrip was trading 0.40 per cent down at Rs 300.65.

Live Nifty Market Update@ Nifty Top Gainers & Losers Today

Nifty opens above 7450, Sensex gains;
Tata Motors, Sun Pharma up Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Maruti and Bajaj Auto are top gainers in the Sensex. Among losers are GAIL and TCS.

Nifty futures opened with positive note and witnessed bearish movement for the entire day and closed on positive note around 200 days EMA. On Wednesday nifty future can trade downside if it sustain below the level of 7450 then below the level of 7410 it can test the 7380-7350.

Bank Nifty Technical Overview:

Bank Nifty futures opened with positive note and witnessed bearish movement for the entire day and closed on positive note around 200 days EMA. On Wednesday nifty future can trade downside if it sustain below the level of 7450 then below the level of 7410 it can test the 7380-7350.

INDIAN MARKET OVERVIEW

After a good rally in equity benchmark, the market ended on flat note. Nifty future up 19 points at 7434.

The 30-share BSE Sensex up 50 points at 24485. The market breadth was very strong as about 1730 shares advanced against 924 declining shares on the BSE.

HDFC Bank's third quarter net profit increased 20 percent to Rs 3,357 crore from Rs 2,794.5 crore and net interest income climbed 24 percent to Rs 7,068.51 crore from Rs 5,700 crore in year-ago period.

Around 35 percent saw external shocks as the greatest challenge facing India’s economy, up from just 10 percent in the previous poll in May 2015. However, this is more likely a reflection of the broad-based spike in global risk aversion rather than India’s relative vulnerabilities, said the Moody's release

INDIAN MARKET OVERVIEW 08/12/2015



Nifty future started off week on a negative note, continuing its downtrend for fourth consecutive session on Monday despite positive global cues. Nifty future down by 11 points to close at 7808.
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended down 108 points at 25530. The market breadth was slightly broader as about 1446 shares advanced against 1316 declining shares on the BSE.
Shares of Bharat Forge fell 2.4 percent intraday Monday to hit a 52-week low of Rs 818 on the BSE due to further decline in truck orders inflow.
Tata Group along With its listed firms adding over USD 100 billion to market capitalisation in the last 15 years, it is looking at an increase of nearly USD 250 billion by 2025, including through acquisitions.

F&O cues:
Nifty 7900 Call added 4.9 lakh shares in Open Interest (OI) on December 7
Nifty 8000 Call added 5 lakh shares in Open Interest
Nifty 7700 Put shed 3.1 lakh shares in Open Interest

FIIs net buy Rs 35 crore in Index Futures

Buzzing: Shares of IRB Infrastructure Developers gained more than 1 percent intraday on getting provisional completion certificate for Ahmedabad-Vadodara road project. "IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway Private Limited (SPV), the wholly owned subsidiary, has been issued a provisional completion certificate by the competent authority on December 4," says the Mumbai-based road developer in its filing. Consequently, the SPV has started toll collection on NH-8 arm of this project from December 6, it adds. The SPV is already collecting toll on Ahmedabad Vadodara Expressway (NE- 1) arm since January 2013.


GLOBAL MARKET OVERVIEW
Asian stocks came off day's high to close mixed today, as investors eye a host of economic data due this week.
Nikkei and Shanghai gained 1 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively while Hang Seng lost 0.15 percent.
European equities were trading higher with CAC and DAX up over 1.7 percent after a solid US jobs report that put the Federal Reserve on course to increase interest rates. Britain's FTSE was up 0.5 percent.
Nonfarm payrolls data showed the US economy created 211,000 jobs for November, beating market expectations. It is likely to have been the final sign for the Federal Reserve that conditions were right for a hike in interest rates in December.

Nifty Top Gainers & Losers Today @ Live Nifty Update



Nifty ended range bound session on a flat note Tuesday after the Reserve Bank of India kept its policy rates unchanged. The Indian rupee gained in the early trade. It has opened higher by 14 paise at 66.53 per dollar versus 66.67 yesterday.
The Nifty50 was also trading comfortably above its crucial psychological support level of 7,950, supported by gains in pharma, metal, consumer durable, banks, and capital goods stocks.Shares of Tree House Education surged for the second consecutive session, up 10 per cent while that of JK Tyre gained over 7 per cent.
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended up 23 points at 26169. About 1672 shares have advanced against 1156 declining shares on BSE.

HUL was the leading contributor to Sensex's gains, up 3 percent while Infosys, Tata Motors and Axis Bank were down more than 1%Jubilant Life Sciences gained nearly 9% on USFDA nod for anti-depressant tablets Paroxetine and Aurobindo Pharma rose 2% on USFDA approval for Risedronate sodium tablets.
Auto stocks were down today as majority of companies' November sales missed analysts' expectations. Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Hero Motocorp declined 0.8-1.4 percent ahead of November sales data.
The rupee appreciated by 2 paise to 66.47 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday in line with other Asian currencies.
On Tuesday, the rupee strengthened by 18 paise to close at 66.49 against the US currency due to persistent selling of dollar by banks and exporters after RBI kept its key policy rates unchanged.

Most other Asian markets traded mixed. Japan's Nikkei was trading with mild losses of 0.05 per cent while the South Korean Kospi slipped 0.4 per cent. Hong Kong's  ..


Bank Nifty Technical Overview:
Bank Nifty Future traded range bound for the entire day consecutive upside and major resistance of 17550 levels. Key mark of 17350 can act as major support in coming session. If bank nifty sustains above 17350 and breaks 17550 then it can test the level of 17600-17650.
