Nifty Ending Update: Nifty Slipped Down Today



The Sensex ended down 84.13 points at 27811.84, and the Nifty slipped down 16.90 points at 8381.10. It is not a great start of the Juky series. About 1180 shares advanced, 1496 shares declined, and 160 shares were unchanged. Index heavyweights HDFC, ITC, L&T and Reliance Industries (RIL) led losses for key benchmark indices on the last trading session of the week today, 26 June 2015. Benchmark indices provisionally ended with small losses for the day. 

The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was provisionally off 86.57 points or 0.31% to 27,809.40. The losses for the Sensex were higher in percentage terms than those for the 50-unit CNX Nifty. The Nifty was provisionally off 16 points or 0.2% at 8,381.10. The market breadth indicating the overall health of the market was negative. The CNX Nifty was down 16 points or 0.2% at 8,381.10, as per provisional closing.
