Equity benchmarks staged smart recovery on Thursday after
seeing a fall in previous three sessions. The Sensex climbed 390.49 points or
1.49 percent to 26637.28 and the Nifty
rose 117.85 points or 1.50 percent to 7960.55 after the dovish cues from
the Fed.
S&P BSE Sensex was down 77.74 points or 0.3% at 26,194.23. The CNX Nifty was down 25.25 points or 0.32% at 7,827.15The index hit a high of 7,869.90 in intraday tradeOn BSE, 1,529 shares declined and 1,231 shares gained. A total of 118 shares were unchanged.
